Prof. Yijia Cao, President
Changsha University of Science and Technology, China
Biography:
Prof. Cao is a doctoral supervisor. He is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, a candidate of the National Hundred Million Talents Project and other national talent projects, a special allowance expert of the State Council, and a returnee from abroad. He is currently the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Changsha University of Science and Technology, and the Vice President of China Young Scientists Association. His main research areas are: power system security and control, intelligent and optimal scheduling of large power grids, distributed intelligent system theory, power information integration and networked control. He has received funding from the National Outstanding Youth Fund, National 973 Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China Innovation Group Project, Ministry of Education Major Science and Technology Project, and State Grid Corporation Major Innovative Science and Technology Program. He has published more than 150 academic papers in domestic and international academic journals and conferences, and the published papers have been cited more than 500 times by SCI and academic peers. The research results have been successfully applied to the actual engineering of power production in China, generating huge economic benefits and good social benefits. In 2000, he received the Outstanding Young Teacher Award from the Ministry of Education, the First Prize of Natural Science of Hubei Province in 2001 (ranked second), and the Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholar Award Program of the Ministry of Education (2001.12-2006.11), the National Outstanding Youth Fund and the Second Prize of Natural Science of Chinese Universities in 2002 (ranked second), and the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress in 2003 (ranked second). In 2004, he was awarded the first prize of Huo Yingdong Excellent Young Teacher Award (research category), in 2005, he was nominated by the Ministry of Education for the first prize of National Natural Science (ranked first), in 2006, he was awarded the second prize of National Natural Science (ranked first), the tenth China Youth Science and Technology Award, and the national candidate of New Century Hundred Million Talents Project in 2007.

Prof. Yong Li, Vice Dean
College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University, China
Biography:
Yong Li is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Hunan University, Vice Dean of College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University. He is the Director of Engineering Research Center of Ministry of Education for New Power Transmission and Transformation Technology, Deputy Director of International Joint Research Center for Smart Grid Optimization and Control Technology of Ministry of Science and Technology, and Deputy Director of Youth Engineering Committee of Chinese Electrotechnical Society. He is also a member of the Youth Engineering Committee of the Chinese Society of Electrotechnology. He is a National Specially Appointed Young Expert, an innovative talent of the "High-level Talent Gathering Project" of Hunan Province, a Yuelu Scholar of Hunan University, and a Young Scholar of Donghua Software. He has been awarded the Newton Senior Scholar Program of the Royal Society, the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of the Ministry of Education, and the Hunan Young Talent Support Program.
He is currently the editorial board member of more than 10 domestic and foreign academic journals, including IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, IEEE Trans. Industry Applications, IET Power Electronics, CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems, Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, Power System Protection and Control, and Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering.
In addition, he is a senior member of IEEE, a member of the IFAC Power and Energy System Technical Committee, a member of the Hunan Provincial Electrotechnical Society, a member of the China Power Electronics Professional Committee, and a member of the China Electrotechnical Society Electric Vehicle Charging and Switching System and Testing Professional Committee.
